Hey Guys,
I would love to have a quicker response to your questions at the moment. But alas, all I have is a pocket full of excuses.
Just so you understand the frame work:
I am Robert and I work for go2space digital media and we are responsible for getting Castrol and others involved in the social media of forums. The whole point is that we want to support your forum in the form of sponsorship from brands the are great, and you may already be considering at the point of sale. As opposed to using irrelevant google ads about children's book or adult content to help support your forum.
The vendor section is a format that allows you to visit and read product information and give feed back and/or questions on specific products and services, also enter prize draws related to product feed back.
We also promote advertisers to sponsor track days and driving events. Yes more free sh*t.
Please be patient, this is a new concept in engagement and we are writing the rules, this is not done anywhere in the world at the moment.
As automotive forums we are becoming a large voice in the way we want to be treated as driving enthusiast and lovers of car culture. With quality congruent sponsors, eager to listen to what we are saying, it's not a quantum leap to see that we as a group will have significant pull in the products that go to market and maybe even the way we are treated in political circles.
Above all else i love high performance cars, I am fed up with low performance drivers, I hate that they are ripping up race tracks for cheap housing and i particularly don't like that I am considered the Devils sporn for having a loud fast car.
We have been pounding the streets for a year, getting slammed by the of cream of companies just to look at you guys as a viable avenue to touch their consumer base, and its starting to work. We don't want to be just a conduit of banner ads, we want to create a environment of support from quality companies with influence and know that if we are pissed about something , there is a chance we might just get heard.
Yes, this is a commercial venture by go2space. We the principals are tragic car nuts that see that we can get the global players to support our passions and not allow the neigh sayer dictate the rules of what we find a heap of fun.
Our personal objectives are to race for free with you guys, sponsored by our advertises, paid to be there and to dictate to the powers that be, we want more racing facilities now!
And yes, we have actively sort out Castrol for being one of a few companies that support grass roots motor racing. The fact that they make bloody good motor oil is just a bonus.
Yes, I have had a day of being questioned for selling my soul for an advertising buck, and I have had a little vent on you guys..... Ba, so be it. Id trade it all in a co-pilot/drive in a Exige S. (Hint)
I'd like to think in the future that when you visit your vendor section, you may consider that its go2space that are working for you to make you forum, and your passion a better place to be. If you are disappointed in response to your question, its because we are making the rules up as we go, and not because we dont care.
Cheers,
Rob.
