Not 100% sure but from what Black's I have seen for sale in the US, they come with this interior & maybe the Recaro's are an option or visa versa

P.S. looks very tough with those rims

The only CLK I know that came like that to the US was the CLK DTM which was based on the 55 engine and cost much more.

Really liked this car ever since it was first released

Hadn't been following the market of late, but even by today's inflated 'standards' - the asking prices for these are insane at the moment

    $495k for this one - Black - 50,000km

    $450k for this one - Silver - 19,000km

    yes rediculous

I negotiated on one and got it to 145k and I only had the budget of 135 so didn't proceed
I also have a soft spot

The gearboxes and diff let them down didn't they? I liked them up until when they were 4 years old or so, but the competition over took them too quickly for similar money.

I remember when they couldn't shift them for $150k.

Wow that's crazy prices, I wonder how much the DTM ones go for now then? They were the real CLK hero.

Sold mine for $135k with 10,000ks. Guy resold it last year for $210. Now look at them, a real 360C moment for me.

I feel sick, thanks for posting.

What were they like to drive?

Surely there's no way they're actually shifting at the asking prices above.

Seems in the UK they're still sitting around £80-100k mark ... I'd expect them to be sitting in the $180-250k range here. And that gets you a C63 Black Series.

This one sold for $146K + fees a couple of weeks ago, a few issues but surely none of them actually get $400K+

IMO they were a far more black BS than the C63.

    Rare:
    Recaro Pole position seats
    CF door trims
    CF console
Aluminum billet (small) gear selector and paddle shifters
    CF front guards
CF rear diffuser concealing a differential oil cooler
    CF splitter inlets
    Adjustable coil over suspension
    1 piece billet alloys
    No rear seats
    500 world wide (800 C63s)
Interesting point also was that the boot had a load carrying capacity which was noted on a large sticker on the hinges of 50kg max (IIRC)
And one of my favorite things about the CLK which the C never had, frameless doors and NO B pillars.
List at the time was $340kish

The C63 BS substituted some of the CF bits for black plastic, to me it wasn’t as Black as it could have been.

I put a good mate in the C63 Black we'd picked up the day before for one of the Tassie trips. He had a great time and was terrified in equal measure. Lemme see if I can find any pictures.

I always used to take the old boss' CLK Black for a run every few months to turn it over - loved the sound and as Alpine mentioned, plenty of individual bits to set it apart. Carbon everywhere.

Owns a MB dealership for over 20 years and the CLK Black and SLS are the only one's he has kept/won't sell.
