    Coronavirus

This probably deserves it's own thread until it goes away....hopefully.

    Key points:
The number of coronavirus cases in Italy have jumped to over 150
Authorities are struggling to work out how the outbreak started
Smartraveller has raised its advice levels for Japan and South Korea

    https://www.ccn.com/dow-futures-cras...us-confession/

...Dow bulls may finally be forced to accept the economic reality of the coronavirus outbreak, as Chinese Premier Xi Jinping made an (exceptionally rare) admission that the virus has exposed several shortcomings in his government.

Xi commented that China still does not have the infection spread under control, as he stated,

First, [we must] resolutely curb the spread of epidemic … increase the rate of treatment and cure, and reduce the infection and death rates effectively in Hubei and Wuhan.

His use of the word “crisis” is quite shocking from the famously guarded CCP and is likely to have a negative impact on Wall Street’s nervous mood...
Don't be surprised if there's unrest in China in the near future, especially if Xi Jinping doesn't step down or get booted; he's put the entire world at risk, so everyone else has a target on his head as well.

This may well be the catalyst for recession, we were heading that way anyway.

I’m currently in Singapore staying at the Shangri-la where the first case was found in Singapore. Hotel is at 33% capacity and the fact there is no Chinese nationals in Singapore makes it a ghost town at all the major attractions.
Just went to universal studios and the longest line was 5mins.
The other bonus is Rolex was offering discounts at their story in the casino as there is no Chinese people to buy any luxury goods.
We get our temp checked by staff every morning and they clean the entire hotel every hour.

They offered me 10% off gold. Didn’t ask about steel. No sport series watches in stock though. I was looking at the day date.

Exactly. They are only discounting unpopular models and they are blaming it on corona LOL

If they sold you all those models off that table you’d almost double your money.

Gold has outperformed bitcoin in the last few weeks. But having both is good.

I actually feel silver is under valued at the moment. I may pick some up in coming weeks.

Haha I asked them how much it would cost to buy any of them. They just laughed at me.
The Day Dates looked good though. Even if they are unpopular.

So they have hard to get models in stock that they won't even sell you?
