Except the idiots around the world follow a piss ant country like NZ and Jacinda Ardern.

The mechanics of this virus are simple. Either every country goes into lock down at the same time or else this is going to run for months and months.
It'll run for months and anyone wanting to go OS, well I reckon 2020 is done with.

Skynews just reported that we have 1 more fatality, from one of the passengers they offloaded on the weekend or last week.

Why did we let them dock I'll never know

Guy I had lunch with in Europe got it (the day after i saw him). He gave it to his wife and kid. He said the kid is fine and the wife got really sick. 10 days later he feels fine and wife is recovering. I asked him if he needed to go to hospital and he didnt. Why don't media talk about the many many successes rather than the failures

Unless maybe you live in Victoria or Tasmania. Can't find a list for either state. Typical...

Because that doesn't cause fear and panic. It proves that like a normal flu you feel like shit for a while if you are some what a normal healthy person, then you recover. Yes it may be a little worse as it is a new version of the flu but it isn't killing 1 in 3 people who get infected!!

I would imagine that when testing becomes more main stream the numbers will be so lopsided that people will feel like idiots for going out and getting 80 fucking rolls of toilet paper.

My opinion is that we should have let the virus run it's course and accepted the loss of life.

What we have done now is destroyed many more lives that will take years if not decades. Livelihoods gone, businesses destroyed and industries killed - the impact via mental health issues and suicides is going to be larger and more prolonged than the virus itself.
Bingo. I like reading your posts because they are full of common sense which isn't common anymore actually it's a rare commodity these days.

If anyone gets a chance read what the govt stimulus package represents, I get back the group tax that's already been paid and a credit on my GST. Reading between the lines, if you haven't kept up with your taxes you wont get any help, they'll reward those that have been paying.
Of the $750.00 to those who qualify, at least they can't blow it on pokies or casino's.

    100% Correct!

China had a 6 week whole country lock down with people either shot or arrested by throwing a massive net over their heads and dragging them behind police cars.

6 weeks the Virus was finished as no one left their house.

Today in China 76 new cases and 74 of them was from people returning from overseas.

So either the world completely locks down for 6 weeks in unison or the cure they are working on works.

    There is no other way.

My partners an accountant. I told her she will be very busy over the 6 months as every man and his dog will need to lodge all outstanding BAS and Tax returns before the government gives them a cent.

The stimulus package for business is going to help two tenths of fuck all. I calculated it and if you have many employees on very average salaries your getting back about 15% of the salary back. The payment is also spread over three BAS for quarterly lodgers.

You might as well just give everyone $950 like Rudd did and stimulate the economy that way.

Anyways watch hyperinflation as we hit 20% unemployment and the government prints money like crazy. It's just a matter of time before we hit 1 trillion in debt. Wonder how the governments no-Future fund going at the moment

Anyone see this military flyover in Adelaide yesterday?

    https://www.airforce.gov.au/operatio...rs-vimy-flight

Seeing a huge air force plane slowly sweeping over the city at low altitude, in the middle of this Coronavirus mess scared the sh*t out of me!

They also didn't show up on flight tracker.

Military planes don't unless they decide to turn it on.

Why does the whole world need to do it? Just keep borders closed and only open them to people who test clean. If Spaniards are dying in the streets, and it looks like they will be, isn't it their problem?

Decisions being made at 4pm today. How many to let go - SUCKS BIG TIME - but with VIC so USELESS in terms of help (no payroll tax relief for larger companies etc etc) Andrews will get no payroll tax either way. Land Tax - yeah right no chance people should pay that either.
