Motul, one of the world?s top specialists in high-tech performance lubricants, further builds on its successful partnership with GT Asia with the first-ever pole position challenge of the series.
The Motul Pole Position Challenge will put the top drivers head-to-head in a race to chalk up the most number of pole positions throughout the season. A special trophy will then be awarded at the final round to the driver who takes the most number of pole positions during the entire championship season. This new introduction is on top of a fruitful partnership, which saw Motul appointed the official lubricant partner of the GT Asia series. And with a three-hour endurance race on the cards this weekend at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, this new challenge will further bring out the competitive spirit of the talent-packed grid.
The 2015 season has just passed its half-way mark and it is shaping up to be a close race to the finish. In the driver championship standings, a mere six points separate the top six drivers, and the remaining rounds of the 11-race calendar will definitely witness intense racing among the teams.
David Sonenscher, Joint Series Director of the GT Asia Series, is glad to see Motul?s increased involvement with Asia?s leading GT championship.
