View Full Version : AC Cobra
Thought I would share a few more photos of the AC Cobra that's coming on Auzrun this year.
Such an amazing car. The guys who put this together (From AN Racing) have done an amazing job inside and out!
I haven't had the chance to go for a drive in it yet but at the end of the month I'm taking it for a spin in Sydney and looking forward to it!
A great remake of a classic.

So is this a replica or original?
RTA records say it is a 1967 Black Ford Convertible which implies it is the real deal? If it is a replica I would have thought the records would say it is a newer car???? If it is a replica (which I don't think it is) it is the best detail in a replica I have seen.
Needs bigger tyres to fill those wheel arches :D

Not taking anything away from the car though, it does look good.

Thanks for clearing my question up Allan. I have no idea why TDC911 is talking trash and I have no idea why what I said needed to be answered in such a way? Oh well another fan of mine from some internet hero
All I wanted to know is if it was an old replica of a Mk III Cobra? If it was an original cobra? (which I guess it could have been because as far as google says production stopped in 67') or if it was a newer replica and the RTA got the records wrong (which has happened to one person on these forums in the past).

I don't know much about Cobras, hence why I asked on a public forum for someone to clear it up. I don't know what "AN Racing" is, for all I know they were the guys who just restored a classic original car back to its former glory.
LOL @ some people on the internet, as long as you sleep better at night

Nah he is a great guy, and definately no internet hero . He has seen more original cobras in person than you would have seen pictures of...
Not an original guys (as I think you've all figured out)
AN Racing built it from scratch and done the best job I have see on one of these bad boys.
Something like 550bhp at the wheels in an 1,100kg car... Crazy!
The last one he brought on Auzrun was a XY GT (Original) with just over 900bhp at the wheels and not just a car with a stack of power, the drove it from Sydney to Perth and Back and drives it all over the place, reliable and usable power is the go!

Did he have a fuel tanker follow him over the Nullarbor? :scratchchin:
I don't care what the rest of you blokes have to say but I just had a Nerdgasm.
