Ramspeed Feature Car Article: Not your average ML
When the thoughts of ?AMG? and ?ML? are added into the same sentence, you?re probably picturing a prestigious top of the line performance SUV that you can use for family duties, but offers a bit of poke when the right foot decides to get a little heavier. Sounds excellent right? How do you take an excellent package and turn it into a perfect package?
Sydney?s North-West Hills district is home to one of Sydney?s top European tuning shops, Ramspeed aussieexotics.com/showroom/search.php?criteria=TechArt . Ramspeed specialise in providing tuning parts for most European vehicles from exotics like Maserrati , Porsche and Ferrari to other prestigious vehicles such as BMW, Audi, VW and Mercedes. The team at Ramspeed decided to turn up the heat on an AMG ML to make it one of the toughest ML?s rolling the streets in Sydney. How cool would it be to pick up your kids from school, or ferry the in-laws to Bingo in this bad-boy AMG?

Wondering around the exterior you immediately notice the upgraded brake and rotor package from Brembo which looks like it could pull up a Boeing 747 on a tarmac strip! Sporting 405mm rotors and 6 piston callipers upfront, 380mm rotors and 4 piston callipers on the rear, this AMG will almost have your face against the windscreen when the anchors are applied.
The massive Brembos sit behind a set of 22 x 10? HRE custom forged wheels which are wrapped in Advan 295/35/22 rubber which sport a nice dish on the rear that you can double up as an iphone holder (if that?s what your into). The ride height is adjustable in-cabin via the addition of the Carlsson Lowering Module giving the driver complete control over ride heights.

The front bumper and rear bumpers have been fitted to give this AMG ML a more prominent aggressive stance in the crowd. We drooled over the extra tough look which combined a carbon fibre front lip, front LED driving lights and carbon fibre rear diffuser.

More fruit was added under the hood to this 6.2 Litre V8 allowing it to show its true colours. A Special BRABUS Sports air filter upgrade was added to help provide more air flow to the intake and the exhaust side received a set of 70mm custom RamSpeed headers, which flow into 2 higher flowing 200 Cel Cats. The exhaust gases then flow out the back through the quad tip cat-back exhaust system from Vath which produces a unique 6.2 rumble you could listen too all day long if it were a track on your Ipod.

Since all the mods changed the performance dynamics of this ML, one of the more important modifications Ramspeed completed was the re-mapping of the engine?s ECU to gain the maximum benefits from the added modifications. The package allows this ML to now produce 600HP which steps up the notch from the original factory 510hp!
Whether you are taking the family on holidays, dropping your kids friends home or simply just wanting to enjoy the pure grunt of what this ML has to offer, the team at Ramspeed have put together a superb upgrade for this AMG ML63. Be warned, if you see this ML rolling the streets we advise you to give way as it will probably eat you alive with its aggressive stance, power package and its 6.2 litres of V8 rumble.
