As part of the Bendix Test Pilot Program, Brad from Heasman Steering has a set of Bendix Street Road Track (http://www.bendix.com.au/content/bendix_brakes_performance_street_road_track_srt) Brake Pads installed on his Gen-F HSV Clubsport R8.

When it comes to choosing brake pads, there?s no ?one-size-fits-all? solution. Different drivers need different brake pads. Their requirements are affected by driving style and the vehicle design. You?ll need to know the driver?s habits and preferences before you select a brake pad to match their driving style.

So how does Brad use his R8? It?s his daily driver so the car is driven regularly to and from work experiencing a lot of stop-and-go city driving. On top of this the car attends a dozen track based events a year where consistent braking performance is a must.

What Brad is looking for is an all-in-one street/ track pad that won?t destroy his rotors. For Brad?s driving style we?d go with the Bendix Street, Road, Track pads.

Pictured above is a brand new SRT pad alongside the previously installed pads. Bendix Street Road Track brake pads are designed to suit sports and performance car enthusiasts for high speed driving applications. You can?t see it here but the rear of the pad features a gasket, for reduced noise and increased heat resistance. They deliver consistently brilliant braking, with high tolerance, low fade, long wear and high friction in all sorts of conditions. You?ll have the confidence to handle busy, unpredictable driving on the street where conditions can change in an instant and the reliability to negotiate mountains with your foot consistently on the brake or cruising the open road with long intervals between braking.
*Note: Bendix promotes responsible, lawful driving of motor vehicles with full compliance with all applicable road laws and Bendix does not promote or support street racing. Brake performance may be adversely affected by road and weather conditions and vehicle characteristics.

With the pads now successfully installed it?s time to take the R8 to Wakefield Park Raceway and put the Bendix SRT?s to the test. Have a watch of the video below and listen to Brad?s initial thoughts and feedback on his new brake upgrade.
