There was plenty to cheer for our Expert panel at Monza, as the Italian Grand Prix yielded high returns and saw a tightening at the top of the league table.

Sports car ace Darren Turner still leads the five man Castrol EDGE (http://clixtrac.com/goto/?47616) Grand Prix Expert panel, but he was closed on by three-time grand prix winner Johnny Herbert, triple WTCC champion Andy Priaulx and AUTOSPORT'S Edd Straw, who topped the week.
A strong midfield proved the basis for Straw's 47-point haul, as he gained maximum hails for tipping Paul di Resta for eighth and Bruno Senna for ninth. That combined with a perfect prediction of Lewis Hamilton for fourth and five-point hauls for Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher, helping Straw move up into fourth overall. Ahead of him Priaulx collected four perfect scores - including the only correct shout of Button for second - on his way to a 46-point haul, consolidating third in the minileague.
Herbert's 39-point success was underpinned by Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, while Hamilton also garnered him five points.
For his part Turner returned the most points-scoring predictions, only missing out on two of his top 10 selections.He was unfortunate however to not score a single maximum, instead missing out by just one place on six of his predictions ? taking five points for each as a result.
While the top four prospered, Monza was a weekend to forget for AUTOSPORT'S Jonathan Noble, who took just 19 points and did not return a single maximum. He fell one spot to fifth in the table as a result.

It may be of small comfort, but the difficult in predicting Monza ? amplified by Nico Rosberg and Vitaly Petrov's early retirements and Mark Webber's crash ? was reflected as no-one returned a triple figure score.
?Lexloo' came closest with 97 points, while a 90-point haul for ?FireHawk' was more than enough to claim the overall lead, putting him 27 points ahead of Holistic Racing.
Random Racing in third marks the start of an incredibly close battle behind, with ten points separating the next 11 teams.
